The Duet plays lossless digital audio formats like Apple Lossless, WMA Lossless, and FLAC, as well as "bit-perfect" CD audio streaming. You can also listen to standard compression formats such as MP3 (all sample rates), AAC, Ogg Vorbis, MP2, MusePack, WMA. Sound Check and Replay Gain are supported for automatic volume control--so no more jarring listening experiences when a quiet song is followed by a loud one. [Note that some formats may require additional software installation (e.g. QuickTime), depending on platform.]

Advanced 802.11g wireless technology eliminates the need to string wires everywhere just to listen to the music from your computer. And setting up an additional room is simple as pushing a button--even on secure networks, because your Duet supports WPA Personal, WPA2-AES and 64/128-bit WEP encryption and automatically detects available networks for quick setup. Network settings are stored in non-volatile memory, so you only need to set your Duet up once.
No wireless home network? No problem. No wireless router is required--the Squeezebox Controller wirelessly connects to ethernet networks through the dual antennas on your Squeezebox Receiver, with a throughput of up to 54Mbps using a high speed PCI interface to radio module.

Listen Even When Your Computer Is Off
"Always-on" Internet Radio, powered by SqueezeNetwork, lets you tune in to Internet Radio streams even when the home PC is switched off. Access millions of songs, thousands of Internet radio stations, and music service providers such as Pandora, Rhapsody and Slacker, without ever turning on your computer using SqueezeNetwork™, our unique Internet service. Like what you're hearing? SqueezeNetwork displays song title information during playback. Internet Radio favorites can be saved in a playlist for easy access. Even your personal music collection can be stored online in an MP3tunes music locker and played through your Squeezebox. The Duet supports MP3, Ogg Vorbis, and WMA formatted Internet Radio streams.
Music Everywhere
Connect the Squeezebox Receiver to your stereo or powered speakers using the available digital and analog outputs and create a musical oasis. Volume control is provided for all outputs, and multiple outputs may be used at the same time. Add additional Squeezebox Receivers and listen to a different song in each room, or synchronize them and hear the same music everywhere.
